My mind constructed
a cathedral
where I can come and always meet you
the walls look like our old bedroom
it’s just us
two travelers
separated by different wavelengths
but in this place
they converge
and we take a holiday
we lay around just talking
laughing
reminiscing about the past

But I know
That I have to go
and that you have to stay
I do my best
to remain
asleep
to make this moment last

This castle is constructed
out of memories
that feel like sand
fighting against the tides
and when the waves crash in
my eyes open
I am back in my realm
alone

And you are lost at sea again…
